Next day, I woke up with a thought of already being rejected. My chance of getting a positive response was as likely as Mr.Shashi Tharoor committing a grammatical error. Absolutely NIL. From the time I woke up I just had one thought, one name in my mind “PRIYA”. Thinking of her while my mom was feeding me breakfast ended up in my Mom shouting at me. I don’t remember the exact reason why, but it was something about me biting her finger or so… anyways moving on as I walked my way to school I just had one thought in my mind PRIYA…Priya…Priya .As I reached the school gate I could hear a faint voice from behind shouting my name. Fun fact, this voice sounded very familiar to me. As I turned back ,to my utter shock it was my mom. She was running towards me with full pace. That was probably the fastest she has ever run. She had a band-aid on her right hand index finger and as she approached I realised that I had forgotten to take my id-card without which I would be punished for being late, obviously, but also for not carrying my id-card.
So by now you might have understood how deeply I was thinking of her.
So now after receiving my daily dose of advice, shoutings, and that under the knees hit from PT sir..I walked towards my class. As I walked by the corridor to the class I just had the urge to meet her ,”oh Priya , my Priya, I’m coming for you” ,yeah that was the song that was playing on my head. As I entered the class, my class teacher looked at me as if I was hitting on her daughter, “You , again late. how are you so consistent in being late?” She asked. I answered that with the best answer I had at that moment…. SILENCE…… Because at that moment I was expecting a response from a person who was way more important than the teacher. As I entered the class room, my eyes searched for her. After a continuous search of 2mins I found her sitting “My Angel”, sitting in the third bench of the centre row.
Man, that cuteness was one which I had never seen before. I spent my whole day just gazing at her. I looked like a kid who was waiting for santa clause during Christmas. Yeah!! Trust me the cuteness was that high.. And now it was the end of the day and I waited near her school bus this time , as I didn’t want to miss her this time. I waited near the school bus , she didn’t come. Everyone in the school bus had come except her. Now it wasn’t just me who was waiting for her,..it was her bus driver, bus friends , bus teachers( school teachers who travelled by bus) and ME.
And suddenly a voice from inside the bus said” PRIYA WON’T BE COMING IN BUS TODAY, HER DAD HAS COME TO PICK HER” listening to this the bus driver took off ..and I stood there waiting for my Christmas gift.β€οΈ
